Hallo all,
Recently I got a Sony Vaio:
model: VPCEB3L1E (PCG-71211M)
BIOS: R1140Y8
EC: K1140Y8
ME 6.0.31.1208
It has installed a MBR hard disk with Windows 10x64 that boots up without problem. I want to install my old SO Windows 10x64 in my UEFI hard disk, partition but... it does not boot up.
This BIOS menu is really poor, and there is not any option to change, neither it shows if the HDD is recognized or not. I have searched the whole forum for a modded BIOS for this PC without success.
Neither in Sony pages there is any update for this BIOS. What I can not believe is that a PC from 2010 is not ready to boot a UEFI HDD, so I have tried any possible keys combination to see if there is any hidden option, but there is not any.
Finally a found a modded BIOS R1170Y8, but the modder did not change the UEFI option, because he says that do not know where to inject it in the BIOS (?)
Some idea? I do not want to install Windows and all my soft again. Any possibility to mod the BIOS? Any tutorial to do it by myself?
Thanks
