[REQUEST] LG R510-S.A28MK QX9300 Support
#1
Hello, I am trying to upgrade current Core2Duo T9550 to Core2Quad QX9300 in my LG R510-S.A28MK laptop.

The mainboard model is Quanta QL8 (Schematics: http://www.s-manuals.com/pdf/motherboard...matics.pdf), and it has PM45 chipset and InsydeH2O Rev 3.5 BIOS

(Current Bios Version: 3F22, Download: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1aJER0b...9jgFlypH9t | Screenshots: https://drive.google.com/open?id=13sgh8G...k3FG9hbfrX).

I thought that QL8 support Quadcore CPUs with the reason that schematics have several "Quad Core only" things, but the screen won't turn on and the laptop would not respond to any inputs when I replace T9550 with QX9300. (FAN rotates for a second and stops when the power is on.)

Therefore, I refered to the following article (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-U...0-to-Q9100) and broke the pins according to it. However I had the same results and could not get QX9300 working even though I broke the right pins. Plz help Huh

Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with supported CPU.
Make a photo of this motherboard near a socket.
And try to find R101 on your motherboard.

These are my screenshots of CPU-Z (with T9550) and motherboard photos (Near Socket Front / Back and R101 Highlighted)

I guess it is not working... I connected R101 with a small copper wire but the results are still same as before. T9550 works fine if i disconnect the wires.
