Asus N56VV
#1
DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any damages that might occur during or after using this software. You do this on your own risk!

I tested this BIOS on my own Asus N56VV, but as I am an amateur, I can't guarantee the function of the settings.
Do not attempt to disable iGPU, as N56VV does not have mux chip and this action may result into no display output.
I wasn't successful in overclocking or modifying the thermal settings, ASUS may simply use different system or this platform is simply severely limited.
All I did was to unhide the Chipset menu and unhide many hidden settings. No configration modifications were made.
The BIOS is updated with the latest microcode for Ivy Bridge.

For flashing use the afudos utility.
1. Create a FreeDOS bootable usb flash disk using "rufus" utility.
2. Copy AFUDOS.EXE and bios images to the usb root.
3. Boot from usb using legacy boot - enable CSM. (not UEFI boot)
4. In DOS prompt use command: "AFUDOS.EXE mod_N56VV.rom"
5. Wait for flashing utility to finish. (completed verification)
6. Turn off your computer with power button.
7. Enjoy.

For reverting back to stock BIOS use the "stock_N56VV.rom" file instead. This file was extracted directly from N56VV.202 package.

Hello  splithor1zon !
Thank you for your custom bios and your work.
I am installed this bios on my n56vv laptop.
Just want to give some details about install process.
In this added bios pack include afudos v 3.07 (work different then you discrabed)
For update bios proparly, need to renamed mod_n56vv.rom to shortway, example, mod56.rom
Secondary, after you made a boot stick with rufus utility and load freedos.
To update a bios, need type this: afudos.exe mod56.rom /p /b /n  ( Good luck to everyone, who want to unlock bios for laptops !
