Hello moosey420,

Taking a look at your BIOS image, I found that there is indeed a setting called Intel Speedstep that can be unlocked, as well as many others.

You can expect the BIOS mod completed by tomorrow!

Hello!

Your BIOS mod is complete! I have added an INTEL Menu to your BIOS Setup Utility and put several settings and sub-menus under it. You should find the "Intel® SpeedStep™" setting under there.

Please please please remember to post the results of the BIOS flash, and before you flash...

READ FIRST!:
Quote:Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the BIOS image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that [if applicable] your notebook is fully charged (100%), that the power adapter is properly connected, and that the chance of a power outage occurring is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is good practice to have a working CRISIS recovery disk handy when flashing your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!

thanks so much will try later. Just to confirm renaming and replacing the rom file and running the bios flash through windows will work, correct? EDIT: Nevermind just went ahead and did it and it works great! Thanks again!

That's awesome! I am glad it worked. Thanks for confirming the results of the BIOS flash.

I am going to move this thread to the confirmed section.
