Hi, I am new here and please forgive me for being a noob.
I have a Dell Precision 3440 SFF which has the W480 chipset and came with 10th gen Intel CPU. In theory it should support the 11th gen intel CPUs since the chipset supports them. But dell has not provided a BIOS update to add the support. However, they have done so for their XPS line, which also has the W480 chipset.
I am thinking it should be possible to do get the same result by modding the BIOS of the Precision 3440. But since I am new to this, I would like to have some pointers on where to begin. It seems like I need to modify/update the micro code?
BTW I have the Xgecu T56 Universal Programmer which should be able to program the BIOS chip. Just gotta learn how to mod the BIOS.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
