You sure the cooling system can handle +1 multi?

Core temp etc show im well within thermal limits even while stressing with burntest, fan is off most of the time when just browsing.

pretty sure it will only jump to next full multi so only +0.5 but i could be wrong

Here's a mod for Toshiba Satellite L300 (PSLB8x & PSLB9x).
I replaced mcodes, unhid advanced menus and unlocked IDA. There is no setting for EIST in bios Setup, so use TS to toggle it.
I didn't update vbios as there is no source to take updates from.

did you find any menus for changing the dvmt/onboard memory?

In video configuration.

may i ask what tools you used to modify the bios?

the only thing i've found so far is ezh20 2.1.0.4 which seems useless, very few of the menus do anything and none populate any changeable values.

Maxinator500 could you confirm whether the vbios mod proposed in the thread linked to in post #11 works?

I managed to export what looks to be svga bios version 1625 dated 2008 from an unmodified .fd but when i inspect the modified .fd from that thread it also says 1625 even though it is claimed to have beenmodified to version 2107 dated 2011

Cannot do this.
I extracted every module of both files and batch compared them. There's a difference in only 1 module.

from what can see there are two vbios files in the original .fd one with hdmi one without, i thought that the supposedly updated/ modified vbios looked the same too just comparing with a text editer.

toshiba spec say this model l300-2e5 is a gm45 machine but rweverything report shows sku as montevina_fab suggesting it could run 640Mhz default clock

montevina was the gm47 640Mhz x4700mhd version, gm45 would have been cantiga 533Mhz.

there is a vbios file among other thingsĀ  in the vbios mod folder and what looks like an editing program in #11 post

the .exe says it is not compatible with my version of windows (i'm running 7 x64)

fixed memory is now set to 128mb from 32mb but the dvmt size is igreyed out/ not changeable

Attached Files
.zip   VBIOS_MOD.zip (Size: 996.61 KB / Downloads: 1)

Shall I update current vbios files with the ones from the archive?

Also fix dvmt setting visibility?
