Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help regarding an issue I’m facing with my Gigabyte G6 KF 2025 laptop (BIOS: InsydeH2O). I’ve been trying to set up a dual boot system with Windows 11 and Linux, but I keep running into a problem.
After installing Ubuntu and attempting to boot into it, I get a black screen right after the BIOS. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Tested multiple Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Manjaro, Tails), all with the same result: black screen after the BIOS.
- Attempted to boot using a GParted live USB, but even that resulted in a black screen.
- Adjusted BIOS settings, including disabling Secure Boot and trying different configurations, but nothing seemed to work.
- Switched USB drives and tried different USB ports to rule out hardware issues.
Despite these efforts, I can’t seem to get past the black screen. Windows 11 works fine, but no Linux distro or live USB will load.
Has anyone faced a similar issue or have any advice on how to resolve this? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
