Hi,
I have an ASUS Z53M with an AMI BIOS. The processor currently installed is an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 which is too slow for me, so I bought a faster one, the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64, and installed it in the notebook.
When I start the computer now, the quiet famous Asus message: "****** Warning: Unknown Processor Revision ****** The processor installed in your system are of an unknown revision" appears, and other text about contacting my BIOS vendor, blabla.
So I searched on Google for this problem and stumbled on this site, which seems very interesting.
The installed BIOS is the newest. Another guy in some other forum also had this problem and contacted ASUS about this problem already. They said, there won't be a newer version of the BIOS for this Notebook.
Is it possible to mod this BIOS so the TL-64 would work in my notebook?
And if yes, is there somebody who would do it?
As an zipped attachement, I have the currently installed BIOS.
Thanks in advance!
Yours sincererly
