compaq cq61 312sa

hi guys im new here, looking for some info on compaq cq61 312sa bios, i downloaded HP_TOOLS from this site and sp46806 bios from hp website, I put the files needed onto pen drive and renamed .bin and .sig, when i hold down the windows + b and power on the red light on usb pen flashes for a few seconds then laptop suddenly turns off, anyone any ideas? oh just to add i have blank screen on lappy so cant see anything.
