[REQUEST] HP G62-b00 series (Intel) Whitelist Removal
#1
I am trying to install a Dell 1394 wlan minicard in this computer(The original crapola Ralink card causes dpc spikes). The card works perfectly if i insert it in standby mode but will cause the dreaded Wireless device not supported in bios. I aknowledge its a rsa signed bios with cmos check and any mod will cause a laptop to semibrick. I have already tried sp55430_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe but it has not resolved the "wireless device not supported" error, instead makes the laptop brick after the system halted error. I dont need a unlocked menus mod, just a whitelist removal(even for only the dell card).
The newest bios is: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55430.exe
Its version number is F48 and it has slic 2.1 by default.

Hi! I'm trying to remove th BIOS WIFI Whitelist by myself but i can't. Please if you can help me i will be very grateful. My system is aƱos HP G62 b67es, the card by default is a Broadcom 4313 and I want to replace it with an Atheros AR5B91. This are the id's:

Broadcom: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_145C103C&REV_01
Atheros: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002A&SUBSYS_E007105B&REV_01

The BIOS is an InsydeH20 (UEFI) rev 3.5, it's RSA Signed.

Here is the link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55430.exe
If you can't do it try with the oldest version: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50001-50500/sp50335.exe

THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH! Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinSmileTongue

EDIT: i have downloaded the version without whitelist from camiloml's bios repository Big Grin

Hello,

I would like a remove for the whitelist wireless card if possible, my pc is a HP G62-b70EB:

-Motherboard Model: Hewlett-Packard 143A 60.3F
-Bios Type: Insyde

I have the F37 installed: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50875.exe

but there are newer version:
F46: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51001-51500/sp51168.exe
F47: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52190.exe
F48: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55430.exe

I don't know which is easiest for you, so if you can remove whitelist from one of this bios, it will be great!

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards.

I don't know if this a problem with the bios or not, but with the old bios, my wireless card always start to connect internet at the start of Windows.
With the new bios and new card, i must desactivate and after activate it to work...

If you already heard about it... ^^

Hello,

This tricks works, thank you!

And i have an another problem^^ Sometimes, i can't go to Windows.
After the HP logo, when it is ok, i have a dash flashing 1-2 secondes and after, Windows starts. (With no modded bios, i didn't note this dash)
When it fails, the dash doesn't flash and i can't do anything except cut off and restart. Until now, the restart always works.

Thank you.

It's the Withelist removing which can cause this and We cannot bypass (Bios check many
things and RSA Signature too) !
You can Love or Hate It ! it's only your choice . . .
