So first thank you for your prompt response. I am running on Gentoo Linux, so I used Wine emulator to run your backup tool: https://www.mediafire.com/file/b4z7x0dmi...0.rar/file

Hello, thank you for those files. I have to note that at moment I am running motherboard with only single CPU, secondary cpu is on its way. Such state can have effect on pci lane availability and distribution.

I have question which tool should I use to flash bios with provided bin files from linux, I found these pages, let me know if its ok to use those???:

Ok friend,
I thinked you followed the discussion about your board on all forums.
So the files i provided are originally for the SPI Programmer CH341a, but is possible to flash it using AFUwin64.

It's better to make a bios backup fo safe , so use Afuwinx64 v3.05.04 and make a bios backup, then post the original stock file and i will make a bios mod
NVME using the new module NvmExpressDxe_4.ffs and upload here.

Flash back them using AFUwin64 like Fernando explained here :

https://www.win-raid.com/t455f16-Guide-H...ml#msg7171

https://www.win-raid.com/t6050f16-Reques...#msg104663

So method is decapsulate bios , then modify the rom bios, flash before the .CAP file and then the .ROM file using Afuwinx64 v3.05.04 ...

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjMjdZ6bIhRQhIxwSu9R...g?e=ovddKI

afuwinx64.exe .CAP

afuwinx64.exe .ROM /GAN

I thinks Flashrom too it needs to work too, as it works on SPI lane, but i didn't read about tests on this pc.

So now let me get a link to your original stock bios version or upload it and i will use it to modify for you, but you have to use Afuwinx64 v3.05.04
to get a bios backup for safe, with your data ...

afuwinx64.exe backup.rom /O

Let me know
Regards

P.S. you can use the Bios Mod files uploaded too, but i don't know if these were took as backup from a own pc.
so you will risk to make a cloned pc Wink

Hello BDMaster, thank for patience with me. I got secondary cpu replacement and also installed windows on secondary drive instead of my gentoo linux to be able properly use bios flash software The output backup file is here:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/xt451hohn...p.rom/file

I can now quickly upload mod. I also went trough all links you provided, thx a lot.

@BDMaster, any chance to mod the bios I uploaded in last thread? Thx a lot.

Hi all!
@BDMaster is there a modified bios suitable for all ASUS Z9PE-D8 motherboards? Or each motherboard is unique and needs a separate modified bios?

Please help me with modded bios.

Hi there,
Please can someone explain why there are x2 files nvme3.rar & nvme4.rar?
Is that something to do with a 16x single NVMe,   8x dual NVMe strip or mirror & 4x raid striping and mirroring quad PCI-E setup?
Thinking nvme4.rar is for the latter, but that's a guess as there no readme docs in those zips

I know this is an old thread , But I'm hoping someone can guide me a bit on getting my Z9PE-D8 WS bios fully up to date, as Asus abandoned support years ago.
I've now got the required SPI Programmer CH341a and a handful of Winbond W25Q64FVAIG chips for flashing, as not to brick the original.

Still seeking the correct software tools to complete the task ahead..
Out of interest are there any other known worth while upgrades that can be done to this BIOS?
