You did a really GREAT finding!!! I bought ACER in 2014 and first thing I tried to change is turn off Hyper-threading, but no luck with normal bios.
Spent time trying to understand bios modding, but it's too complicated for me.
So, the way you find to turn on bios Advanced menu with JUST Fn+TAB is AWESOME!

P.S. Works on my Acer Aspire V5-573G with bios Insyde v.2.24

Thank you again Smile

I have activated the advanced hidden menu on BIOS on my V5-573G. With this Advanced settings, Is there any way i can turn on my laptop while the lid is closed? The lcd screen on this laptop is not so good and not full hd. I have an extra full hd monitor and i want to connect the laptop on this monitor and put it on a vertical dock/stand and act as standing cpu. I'm not sure which from this bios setting i need to change so that I can turn on the laptop while the lid is closed or turn it on via keyboard with power option while the lid is also closed.

Please help if this is possible or is there any way to achieve this.

This method does not seem to work with my version of the BIOS. I have recently bought an Acer Aspire E15-575G-53VG and I've tried to do the Fn+Tab thing inside the bios, saving, and then booting back into the bios but there is no "advanced" tab. There also seems to be a newer revision of the bios than what the OP has.
