Hello ! 
I have the G45T/G43T-AM3 v1.1 and i want to put the Intel core 2 quad Q9550

I have try to mod the bios with mmtools v3.26  but have no success ! this difficult to found the good cpu patch microde that is the one corresponding to this cpu.  i have search on database of mcextractor https://github.com/platomav/CPUMicrocodes

And my bios is 2mB size not 1mo and mmtools failed to open the rom of 2mo . So i have found i can extract the 1mo part but i must search for the index...

I have try with several 1mo rom i have found for the about same model ecs type of board but no boot even with the origin CPU.

The coreboot canoeboot image i have burn and booting  ok with G43T is :

I have a T56 for flash so any problem for me to come the board to life with the origin rom i have save.

So i have found on Coreboot they have done a version and test for the G45T/G43T and on canoeboot they provide the rom file ever build and good to flash. 

So i have try it and with this image the motherboard boot with the Core 2 quad Q9550 . 
 But a problem come on with the Intel nic of checksum of the Nic
and no ethernet come on to life. On canoeboot website they give a method to try to unlock this but nothing work for me. the nic is alwyas blocked. So i have put another ethernet board on pci express port.

Canoboot give good linux boot for me and windows boot too. But on windows the graphic cards was not detect like an nvidia model
and the drivers don't load..but i don't want windows so for me it's ok. But for those want windows with good graphics i think many work must be done.
If someone read this and have the time to give the exact process to mod this 2mo rom to have the Q9550 boot with standard bios is welcome.
Or if someone have the light to found how give the coreboot to don't break the intel Nic e1000e  module on linux welcome too..

For the G45T there is also a Libreboot release for more simplified installation to not have to compile everything on your own: https://rsync.libreboot.org/stable/26.01rev1/roms/

This is the latest current release at the moment. Always check if there are some updates to this in the future.
