Asus M50SV bios
#1
Hey everyone, i have a Asus M50Sv that had a nvidia 9500m GS, but it broke down. Now i bought a nvidia 9600m GS MXM II, that should work because have same connections and its form other M50 version.

After i replaced it i couldn't get image from it, not even before operatins system, what i mean i can't get to the bios.

I supose i can use my former 9500 to get into the bios, but how can i update it for the 9600?

I've looked for a long time and couldn't find a good and working sugestion, if anyone have done it, please contact.

First time i try something like this, if you need any info just ask.

Well, until now i've been searching information about main bios and vga bios, i found out that my main bios (bios form motherboard), supports 2 graphic cards, the 8600m GT and the 9500m GS (this last one is what i have).

Using MMTOOLS i check it and i noticed i have several PCI ROM's.
I also got NiBiTor v6.06 and checked that only 2 of 4 PCIROM's are VGA cards.

What i've tried was to get the 8600m GT ROM, change it to 9600m GS, place the right frequencies and taking close atention to the product ID in the main bios replace the 8600 for the 9600.

I've been doing all this with the 9500m GS placed so i have been capable to run the system anyway.

After i replace the graphic card, from 9500m GS to the 9600m GS i hear the bios sound running but the screen is black. the fan also runs at 100% but that i was already expecting.

Im using the original bios to mod version 207 because many people say the 210 is unstable.

I would like sugestions and help in modding this bios to put the 9600m GS running.
