Lenovo ThinkPad T61
#1
Have tried to mod backup bios file by myself, but no matter how I do (DOS or Win), something is always wrong.
With Phlash getting error message
With WinPhlash getting message that "Part Table not found in the Interface Error code -161"

http://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/mHHsE...42xJEOD5yA

How I did:

1. Backup with Universal Backup utility
2. Added Slic 2.1 and .rw file, with PhoenixTool (SSV2 method)

Downloaded latest bios update package (exe file) from Lenovo page, but don't know how to extract .fl1, to convert it to .rom file, mod it and than to put it back to original .exe file.

Anyone who can help with this ?

Attached Files
.rar   7luj28us.rar (Size: 3.38 MB / Downloads: 12)
.rar   AcpiTbls.rar (Size: 112.69 KB / Downloads: 6)

Hi friend,
to extract Bios image It's easy just rn thr exe and decide to extract anywhere the files then don't appiy
the flash and exit !
You will find your files there, so get this one $01AF000.FL1 and You can modify !

Here You go Slic 2.1 + NWL) :

Thanx for quick answer.
1. Tried to flash with original .exe and getting a message "driver loading failed" - that's because a Win 7 64-bit.
2. Made an bootable USB and extracted ISO on it. Didn't succeed... flashing starts but nothing happends.
3. Burned a CD from the same ISO, worked just fine.

Re-flashing with WinPhlas and modded bios:
1. Failed - WinPhlash message: Cannot Load Driver to Update BIOS (Error code: 1275)
Found this https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkStatio...a-p/597545
2. Made system changes as it says on previous link. Restarted computer. Same thing...

I'm gonna reinstall system with W7 32-bit instead, and try again... think that 64-bit is the problem...

Be back...
