Toshiba Tecra A9
#1
Hi guys, first time post to my knowledge but found your site useful so many times to date.

Anyway to the point and apologies for not correctly understanding the correct request procedures if i have missed something.

I have a Toshiba Tecra A9, wna have SLIC 2.1 in BIOS, currently have SLIC 2.0 with the latest bios as below. Just wana permanently activate Windows 7 on it.

Direct link to latest BIOS installer:
http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-file...155247.zip

Exact model number: PTS52E-0ER02LEN

I am unsure if this is possible but any help is appreciated. Have heard certain types of Toshiba BIOS cannot (yet...) be modded.

If any more information is required please feel free to ask.

Regards,
FDC

Download the utility RW-Everything, install it starts, click ACPI Tables, press CTRL + F2, save the file to your hard drive AcpiTbls.rw.
Archive it in the zip-file or a rar, put on any exchanger and give a link here
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/download.html
if there is slic with your number
make a backup of the bios and give a link here
hands fix bios
otherwise, take a pill from the DDDC

Alright heres the export from the laptop:
https://rapidshare.com/files/2525574754/AcpiTbls.rar

Whats DDDC?
The bios I already know has SLIC 2.0, you still want me to upload a backup of my current BIOS?

Apologies for sounding like a noob but how do I do that?

For the record I know how to do so on Pheonix/AMI/Award via their respective mod tools etc but this Tecra BIOS is unlike any I have previously encountered.

Ending up going with a loader, not gona say what 1 in the event its against the forum rules. Pity, to date that's the only machine iv had to do it on, done about 30-40 to date over past 6 months - all bios mods.
