Greetings,
I bought this board as a "bulk" board - in small computer company branded computer. I have some issues with memory among other things but it seems that newer versions of BIOS solve that.
Thing is AsRock made two versions of this board:
G41M-VGS3 R2.0
and
G41M-VS3 R2.0
They share same manual and thats only place on whole AsRock website that mention G board, while non G board seems to have a lot of BIOS updates.
Only difference between these two is that G version has gigabit LAN interface "Atheros AR8131L", while non G version has "Atheros AR8132L".
So idea is to use backup G BIOS to extract LAN part and replace it in updated BIOS of non G version - if that is possible.
Here are screenshots from AFUWIN 4.48 (which I used for making backup) and CPU-Z motherboard section:
And links:
Backup G version:
G41M-VGS3 2.0 Base Backup.rar (Size: 662.29 KB / Downloads: 235)
Non G version:
G41M-VS3(1.70)ROM.zip (Size: 698.79 KB / Downloads: 157)
