[Request] Dell Latitude D530 Intel T9x00 Support
#41
Also, I have no way of testing my T9500 - e.g. I have no other machine that will accept it.

For all I know it could be faulty.

Please try my new version.

Flashed OK.
Rebooted with old cpu OK - except it gives me a warning about not using a standard Dell power adapter:-

Swapped to T9500 - no boot, no splash, no bios, just flashing HDD indicator as always.
Pulled the CMOS battery, tried with and without main battery. No luck.

Did this warning remained after reboot?

#45
Yes it did.

Flash native BIOS A10 and check this warning again with old CPU.

Without reflashing, just fitting the old CPU back in I don't get the warning.

So without going back to a stock bios, I have refitted the T9500, and still no response. Cmos battery reset too.

I don't know if this is of any use,

The dell D630 supports the t9500 in some of the later bios's.

The D630 has the same GM965 as my D530.

D630 bios:-
Intel Microcode List ver0.4a

CPUID=6F4 Rev=28 2006/04/17 CRC=30DD8681 Off=1EB13 Size=1000 Plat=0,2,4,5,6,7

CPUID=10676 Rev=60C 2008/01/19 CRC=FBAC0EED Off=27B13 Size=1000 Plat=7   <---- yay!!!

So it seems supported by Dell.

Here is the bios file I read the microcode list from (ver A19):-

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/0...erId=1J8FX

And more useless information, the above list of supported CPU microcodes first appear on the bios version D630_a05, and is present right though to the last bios version a19.

D630_a04 does not have the bottom 4 cpu's listed.
