kindly remove the restriction as shown in the screenshot to be able to rollback to the original Acer bios...thank you in advance

Product:Acer Predator
Model: G9-792

Hello,

At the beginning sorrry for my English.

I need some serious help with Acer Predator. Computer takes shudown while I was playing game and after reboot it was no post.
Some computer service flashes two BIOSes and doesnt take backup of the original one...
After that my friend replace damaged GPU and found some BIOS in network, but it is probably from another incomaptibile unit. The FANs turns on maximum and it report problem with GTX970m in device manager. ME region was cleared but the problem wasnt resolve.
Can someone please take handle of this files that i have in atttachment or maby someone could split files from original Acer package of bios exe?

P5NCN/P7NCN main board rev. 2.0
CPU: SR2FQ
PCH: SR2C4
GPU: N16E-GT-A1
KBC: IT8587E
BIOS 16 MB & 1MB

Acer website support:
ttps://www.acer.com/ac/pl/PL/content/support-product/6644?b=1&pn=NX.Q0QEP.004&sn=60800191172

i will be very appreciated.

Clear ME? You do not want clear or disabled ME, this cause the fan problem, surprised it works at all if they are clearing the ME.

Or did you mean clean ME put back in there? I see ME 11.0.0.1191 is there, so maybe you just meant clean ME put back in? If yes, do you know if he did "Settings Transfer" from the original ME to this now included ME (This is a must do)

Is GTX970m the same card that was in there before too?

1MB BIOS would be EC, and you can't get that from Acer download, maybe if you email them and ask they will send you. When they repaired it, did they put the correct EC BIOS in there? If not, and ME is not the issue, then it would be an EC Problem and you would need a dump of this chip from exact model to put on there again yourself with CH341A flash programmer and SOIC8 test clip cable.

Hi,

BIOS and EC was flashed with unknown dump by some computer services before GPU was changed. I dont have original backup because they didnt save this (!). So MEregion is not original. Laptop works but reports GPU problem and turns FANS on maximum. It has the same graphic card that before (tested before change, so the card is fine). I think acer wont sent original dumps because they rejected warranty but i will try.

Is GPU exact same model that was originally there? ME can be fixed, by us finding a valid working dump from exact same machine, then putting in latest ME w/ settings transfer, but if the issue is EC FW the only likely way for you to get that is from Acer (Just tell them you need the EC FW for this model, that is all)

Yes the GPU is the same model. I wrote to Acer and they reply that they dont give any company or third person their BIOS dumps. So only hope in you Guys...

Reply back to Acer, and tell them you don't need or want a BIOS Dump. Tell them you only want the 1MB EC file.
If you cannot get this, only hope would be find a dead or super cheap motherboard same model on ebay and either replace, or copy it's EC contents if you find a dead one real cheap.

I can redo the ME for you if you want to test that, but you may need a hardware programmer to re-write the ME region (Possibly not, since I would send you newer version than current, ME FW Update tool should allow you to update)

What is the exact full model name, example >> G9-792-78AW

I have access to Revelprog, so I can flash hardware if its needed.
