i bought this laptop a month ago its a good laptop but i wish if can overclock it (cpu , gpu , memory)
iam new to this site , and i think i should buy special tools to flash the bios (SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip)
the bios i used is in the attachment i downloaded from official acer web site but its .exe format , is there any way to make a backup in .bin ?

Hi
EZP2010 does not work with the SOIC8 clip...if you know how to solder, this SPI-programmer is better
otherwise - CH341A

this is because the memory that comes soldered on the motherboard runs at 2400mhz, any memory that you put in the free slot will be automatically underclocked. there is no way to change this since it is not possible to overclock this laptop.

No, with unlocked bios we can set RAM to 2666 even if memory soldered on the motherboard, for this needs some special bios modification. Of course you need an SPI-programmer.

how would that be possible? I have the BIOS of the acer aspire 5 A515-51G unlocked and whenever I try to overclock the RAM I end up getting brick! even by manually defining the timings and frequency of the memory.
