Dell Vostro 1500 A06 Dell 2.1 SLIC
#11
Since apparently no one has this any longer, I modified the A06 BIOS for the Vostro 1500 myself. Confirmed working.
You can find the file here, though I have no idea how reliable that site is: http://www.filedropper.com/1500a06slic

Please post results.

Could someone please re-post this file? I've searched but cannot find it anywhere at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

On the off chance that this helps you and any other seekers, here is something that may help.

Thank you very much for this.

I recently had my main rig and two others, and my commercial Win7 disc and registration stolen; and now only have this old laptop that I need to install an OEM replacement on.

They took all my other OS discs and registration codes, including my DELL WinXP Pro x64 OEM disc. It seems no-one has uploaded a copy of that to Archive.org, so I can now never perform a repair install of that OS. I'm not surprised really. It was difficult enough for me to locate and buy a copy in the first place.

This computer is triple boot. I have an x64 Linux install on here too.

If anyone's out there, I have one question: Will the 2.1 SLIC negatively impact my DELL WinXP Pro x86 OEM install, or are the SLIC revisions accumulative?

Thanks.
