Help, Why is my BIOS becoming corrupted?

I have a Dell inspiron 15 3543 with an AMI bios, I have found the location of both boot logos and I extract the body as bin, rename the file to jpg or bmp, then I change it to whatever. After that I change the bmp file to bin and replace the boot logo’s section as a body. Then i save the rom file and flash using AFUWIN. Once I do that I bypass the recovery so it does not say failed verification and my BIOS is corrupted. I want to know what i am doing wrong or what else I should be doing.
