[EFI] ASUS G73JH
#1
ASUS G73JH bios 206

ASUS specifically prevents hotlinking so it's like this from their home site:
support->Download->Notebooks->G73 Series->G73JH->BIOS (the little plus sign, sometime it's buggy)

Aside from whatever else is in there, there are overclock options that are restricted unless you have a 920xm in the board, 720qm and 820qm have them hidden.

Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I can see it has a very clear structure and even a viewable code. It is uncompressed but protected with some kind of code I don't now. Encryption is not my speciality so if anyone could have a look at the code inside the .206 file to possibly find a working encryption maybe we will be able to mod the code! Wink Maybe...

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

I am back in here as I promised! Big Grin So tell me your needs!

I've never looked at AMI so can not tell you much about it but had a look at version 211 for you. Which of these BIOS setup tabs do you not have?
  1. Main
  2. Advanced
  3. Chipset
  4. Display
  5. Power
  6. Boot
  7. Security
  8. Save & Exit
Not sure about the power menu (or anything else for that matter lol), seems to be a couple of check boxes. Huh

Here's some BIOS options that might interest you...
  • ASUS EASY OVER-CLOCK (Turbo:Normal)
  • Intelligent Power Sharing
  • Core Temp Limit Value
  • Processor Power Limit
  • Core Power Limit Value
  • Intel Dynamic Power Performance Management
  • Thermal Trip Points
  • Hyper-Threading
  • Active Processor Cores
  • EIST
  • Turbo Mode
  • Enable/Disable Extreme Edition support
  • TDC Limit
  • TDP Limit
  • Core Ratio Limit
  • C states
  • Number of VID states - special VID table
  • Maximum ratio to use in the test VID table
  • QPI Frequency Selections
  • Enable XMP Support
  • Memory Frequency

Interesting that it says the default critical temperature for all Intel mobile CPU's is to be 100C. VID states Cool

The dump file. A little broken which is not totally unexpected, but usable.

It's an unknown at this time. You didn't answer the question in the previous post. A copy of your BIOS backup might be a big help to.
