[Request] HP Elitebook 2730p Whitelist Removal

@daile, thank you for confirming my suspicions. Seems HP do not like the widespread non-whitelist, SLIC 2.1, dual-IDA bios available for their Santa Rosa and Penryn C2D systems, so they're 'trapping' users into upgrading so can't downgrade back to those bios with much more desirable features.

If your 2730P is anything like a 2530P, then it uses a socketted bios chip. If you have another 2730P handy with an older bios then can ask a mobile phone shop to use a SPI eeprom burner to copy that older bios to your bios chip for re-installation back into your system.

Alternatively, if your system is under warranty you may be able to make a warranty claim against the new bios 'providing undersirable side-effects'. If enough such claims come through then HP may think twice about using deceptive entrapment methods to try and get users to upgrade to new systems with new wifi/wwan/cpus.

but went the process complete~ then i reboot~ i found the "caps lock" and "num lk" light keep flashing...

Cannot start normally...

If there is no solution at the end...
i thank the last thing can do like you said ~ go to the “Computer repair shop”
let them use the special equipment flash back the older bios...

but now i think there still has some “Master”~like camiloml and you
maybe can crack it and make it work~

However~i just want to thank camiloml and you ^_^
your just use lot of time to help us (not just me~ the others)

Press power key ~ can boot to the win system...
