thx for fast response
tried it with DOS bootable but only get:
Quote:Error 104: The 2 SPI flash devices do not have compatible command sets.
(with both flash1 and flash2.bat)
also fpt.exe -i produces the same 104 error output in DOS
thats the same error i already got when trying to create the backup, i was only able to create it with this "newer" version FPT_BAK3264_all, however this is not DOS compatible ...
i guess the fparts.txt is wrong or missing an entry?!
maybe this is helpful:
Code: C:\_BACK>fpt64.exe -i

*edit*
ok, now i used the fparts.txt from the "newer/windows" version in DOS, this gives me a new error on both bat versions:
Quote:Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access.
Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers.
is there any specific setting or method to get this protection disabled?
or is it possible/safe to flash from windows ?

Yeah, I think, the modded can be flashed with HW programmer only.

whitelisting is possible, but flashing the modded firmware from the laptop is not!
you have to use an external flashing device in order to flash the modded firmware onto the laptop ...
fyi: i just stopped there and ordered the correct wifi modul from lenovo ...
